Blood Vortex

Summary

Blood vortex was a project we did at The Game Assembly in the first year. Working in a 2D environment that’s constantly moving gave good insight in how to make puzzles that are quick to solve but still feel challenging.
My main responsibility in this project was making the mid-difficulty levels in the game where tight terrain and movement-based puzzles were introduced.

  • Done in 8 weeks half time 1 week full time.
  • Homemade engine.
  • Team: 3 Level designers, 3 Programmers, 4 Game artists, 2 Technical artists

My responsibility

  • XML: scripting pickups, weapons, spawning enemies and more.
  • Level design (level’s 3-5)
